If you are interested in creepy crawlies and tiny winged wonders, then you should visit the Insectarium. As its name suggests, it introduces you to the fascinating world of insects. This is one of the largest museums of its type in North America and one of the biggest Insectarium in the world.

This unique museum was thrown open to the public on February 7th 1990. The man behind the museum was renowned bug lover George Brossard. From afar the Insectarium looks like a gigantic bug. Its goal is to enlighten people on entomological and environmental issues.

Boasting of an enormous collection of thousands of insects, including over one hundred live arthropods, the Insectarium attracts over 400,000 visitors annually. You can see myriads of spiders, beetles, butterflies and praying mantises.

The museum removes many misconceptions about these detested creatures. It enlightens you about the world of insects and gives you invaluable information about the role they play in preserving our ecological balance. The museum also shares its knowledge and research findings in Entomology and Environmental science.
