Meadowbrook Golf Club

This course oozes rustic charm. This unpretentious course is a far cry from the fashionable and stylish courses of today. However you can enjoy a comfortable game of golf within its precincts at an affordable price.

This is one of the oldest golf courses in the city. The site once housed the Canadian Recreation Club of Montreal. Construction of the course began at the fag end of World War II. The course was known as Wentworth Golf Course, and all 18 holes were completed by 1949.

Meadowbrook Golf Club Inc., which has been operating golf courses on the island of Montreal since the 1930s, took over the course in 1970, and it renamed it Meadowbrook Golf Club. Its management fell into the hands of its current owners in 1970. The course is well maintained and is an oasis of green sprinkled with majestic trees.

It boasts of 18 holes. These however offer little challenge and are fairly straight and easy to play. It is an ideal course for a beginner but rather dull for an expert. The club house is simple in design and décor. Do not expect to find any lavish flourishes here. The food too is homely and comfortable but not exotic
