Faubourg Ste- Catherine gives you the feel of a colorful and vibrant market place. You can even shop for your grocery here. It was founded in 1986, in downtown Montreal on Sainte- Catherine street.
In this complex there is something there for everyone. The market reflects the cosmopolitan character of Montreal. With its plethora of shops and entertainment options, there can never be a dull moment.
Bakeries, green grocers and other food merchants of all varieties are combined with high quality fast food in a way that closely resembles Boston's enormously successful Quincy Market. In all, you can find 60 stores (including Monsieur Felix & Norton cookies and an SAQ outlet), 27 bars and restaurants (including Sharx pool bar), a four- screen cinema (currently closed) and a health club.
The Faubourg houses a Benix (kitchen accessory store), an SAQ, a tobacco shop and an African arts boutique. There is also a cleaner, hair dresser, travel agency and a bowling alley. Its various eating joints are a food buff's delight. It offers mouth watering cuisine from all over the globe like crêpes, pasta, deli, Lebanese, Moroccan, Japanese, Taiwanese, Chinese and Thai.
Hours: Daily 10:00am- 9:00pm.
Payment methods: Master Card, Visa, American Express.
