The idea of such a complex was sowed way back in the 1970s when the Mouvement des caisses populaires et d'économie Desjardins and the Government of Quebec joined forces to develop a real estate complex that would fulfill the social, economic and human objectives.

Since Complexe Desjardins was inaugurated in 1976, its multifunctional design has made it a veritable keystone for the business and cultural communities, a gathering place for tourists and convention goers and a busy shopping mall.
Over the years, Complexe Desjardins has changed considerably, while preserving the spirit that drove the initial concept.

One of the prime attractions of Montreal, it houses numerous shops and boutiques which sell a variety of goods. If your stomach is rumbling, you can drop in at any of its various eating joints. You can grab a quick bite or enjoy a full fledged meal.

Complexe Desjardins is open seven days per week, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
