Foufounes Electriques

Regaling Montreal for the past three decades, Foufounes Electriques, has managed to hold its own despite newer and trendier night clubs. The reason for its popularity is not far to seek. It offers a swirl of entertainment.

Les Foufounes Electriques features two beer gardens, three dance floors and a daily happy hour that lasts from 4 pm to 6 pm. The club hosts live rock, hardcore and industrial bands and also puts on club nights such as GoGo Tuesdays, Under Attack Wednesdays, Sweet n Sour Thursdays and Electrik Saturdays. Music includes alternative, old school punk, rock n roll, hardcore, hip hop, 80s rock, pop and ska depending on the night.

It occupies three huge floors Industrial space. Its charming décor consists of beautiful graffiti and empty beer kegs recycled as seating. The bottom floor is a free- admission pub, with pool tables and an outdoor patio in the summer.

The upper floors have a rock stage, where you can go nostalgic at the tunes spun by old rock stars. After 11pm, the night livens up. The rock bands give way to swinging dance and flowing drinks.
