Fete des Neiges celebrates the charm of a Montreal winter. It is the most popular outdoor festival of Montreal from days of yore.
People of all ages have enjoyed frolicking in the snow. They have build snowman, thrown snow balls or simply gone skiing. Fete des Neiges was born keeping these ideas in mind, and endeavors to give a rollicking time to all those who love winter sports.
From its relatively modest beginnings in the early 1980s, it has soared in popularity attracting thousands of visitors. The adorable event mascot Boule de Neigi has gone straight into the hearts of people.
Enjoy some winter fun with dog sled rides, sleigh rides, tubing, snowshoeing or skating. Equipment can be rented on site, where you can lace on some skates and take a tour around a 1.5 km track amidst the charming surroundings of the St Lawrence River.
Check out the snow sculptures or nip into the Pavillon des Neiges to warm up with some food and drink before going back out to play. Recent additions have included live music, magicians, street performers and kite demonstrations on weekends.
Hours: Vary.
