Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal

One of the premier cultural organization in Montreal, it brings you the finest concerts and musical performances of the world. Its origin can be traced back to 1934. It has since then basked in the glory of International renown.

Many accolades have come its way. In 2001, the OSM received the award for "best concert of the year" at the Gala des Prix Opus of the Conseil québécois de la musique for Elektra by Richard Strauss (opera presented in concert version) and the same award (classical, romantic and modern category) in 2002 for Wozzeck by Alban Berg.

It hosts around 100 concerts each year. It brings to you classic and symphonic music of all kinds. This symphony is considered one of the most prestigious in the world. It has recorded a string of best- selling classical CDs and embarked upon numerous international tours, serving as a cultural ambassador for Montreal, Quebec and Canada.

Concerts take place at Place des Arts' 3,000- seat Salle Wilfrid- Pelletier from September to May and at Notre- Dame Basilica during the perennially sold- out summer series.
