Ever since the art of cinema came into being it has revolutionized the meaning of entertainment. Cinematheque Quebecoise celebrates the art of cinema. It is a multi- purpose, user- friendly establishment with cinematography at its centre.
Located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, and not too far from the Canadian National Film Board's Ciné- Robothèque, it is a treasure house of cinema and provides you invaluable information.
Museum exhibits include a permanent study of animation, along with any number of rotating displays and touring shows. The cinema itself is state- of- the- art, running its own program of features and documentaries from Quebec, Canada and around the world.
Two theatres are there to bring you the best in world cinema. Documentary films, current Hollywood blockbusters as well as retrospectives of famed directors are screened here. Its documentation center is a mine house of information on cinema. Here one can find a plethora of books, magazines, articles, CD- ROMs, and films to view from the video library
