It nestles in downtown Montreal at the campus of Concordia University, the Galerie d' art Leonard et Bina Ellen brings you some of the finest works in contemporary art. It focuses in presenting Canadian art.

One of its primary goals is to promote the works of budding local artists. It organizes Annual Undergraduate Exhibition as well as Ignition, a show of selected projects by graduate students.

It made a modest beginning in 1963, with only three paintings, two sculptures and one drawing. Since its humble beginnings it has come a long way. It now boasts of more than 3000 works of art. The Gallery presents six major exhibitions annually. . Paintings, prints, drawings, mixed media and sculpture from leaders of the Canadian contemporary, modern and historical movements are represented in the collection.

Recognized as a Class A Cultural Property repository by the federal government, the collection houses pieces by such significant Canadian artists as Emily Carr, Horatio Walker, Frederick Marlett Bell- Smith, Lawren Harris, Jean- Paul Riopelle, and Paul- Émile Borduas.
Admission is free.

Hours: Tue- Sat Noon- 6pm.
