A boon for lovers of architecture, this world famous museum enlightens you on the role of architecture in building up society. The CCA has bagged many awards and has received rave reviews from the press for its outstanding work in the field.

The seed for this museum was sown over 30 years ago when architect Phylis Lambert began his collection. It came into being in 1989, housed in a 130, 000 square feet building designed by chief architect Peter Rose.

The CCA is an international research center and museum. It boasts of a collection of some 65,000 prints and drawings from the late fifteenth century up to the present day, as well as the Paul Desmarais Theatre, a bookstore, a library and a study centre, the CCA is a world renowned museum that attracts thousands of architecture students and enthusiasts from around the globe.

Its renowned outdoor garden portrays the history of architectural design and industrial development in Montreal.

Free admission: Admission to the CCA is free for all on Thursdays after 5:00pm and all day for students.

Hours: Tues- Sun 11am- 6pm;Thu 11am- 8pm.
